About Political High

Published by tdepp

Political High is about the art and science of campaigning for office (or for or against ballot measures)–with some occasional political observations thrown in.  It’s my hope that this can be a place to discuss campaign tactics and methods.  I am a progressive Democrat who has worked and volunteered for a number of campaigns, including Al Gore’s 2000 Presidential campaign (Nashville HQ volunteer), governor (press secretary), campaign manager (legislative and county races), volunteer (local and state candidates), and a ballot measure (media).

I’m also a former TV journalist who covered politics and government in Kansas and South Dakota.   I also have blogs on Kansas and South Dakota politics.  My “real” job is as a lawyer.

If you have tips or ideas or just want to say howdy, you can email me at toddepp(at)gmail(dot)com.

What I’m discussing, however, should be bi-partisan and non-partisan, as it is more about what seems to work and what doesn’t.  I encourage your comments and hope you’ll also share your ideas on best practices in the world of political campaigns.
